Analysis of information sources in Czech dailies'coverage about the Dozimetr case

The bachelor thesis focuses on the information sources used by the Czech printed national serious daily newspapers (Deník N, E15, Hospodářské noviny, Lidové noviny, MF DNES, Právo) in their coverage of the Dozimetr case. The thesis uses quantitative content analysis to examine which information sources the dailies quoted in the first month after the beginning of the Dozimetr case. In June 2022, the police charged thirteen people in this case, including then- deputy mayor Petr Hlubuček and Zlín businessman Michal Redl, for alleged corruption in the Prague Transport Company. One of the objectives of the research is to determine the extent to which the media cited unnamed sources or non-public police documents. The alleged overuse of such sources is regularly repeated in discussions of media coverage of criminal cases. The theoretical part of the thesis summarises the typology of information sources, information sources used in criminal cases and the way information is provided from criminal proceedings according to Czech legislation and case law. It also presents the ethical challenges faced by the media in covering criminal cases. Information support in financial institution

(anglicky) This thesis entitled Information support in a financial institution discusses how information services and resources are currently used internally in an institution focusing on the Czech banking environment. The reader is thus provided an insight directly into the organization and the position it takes towards working with information aiming at fulfilment of its employees' information needs. The thesis also reflects description of the most important information sources. Information needs of employees were analyzed and identified based on their frequency of occurrence and distribution across the bank. The following part of the work covers detailed identification of information services. The reader is hereby given the opportunity to find out where, by whom and to what extent the services are used. The conclusion deals primarily with the information models of the flow of information in the organization and the analysis of various entities affecting the relevant processes.
Historical film as information source and the comparison to its literature rendition

The bachelor thesis focus on the definition of information (the importance of information in general, information in books), then it will consider the characteristics of the film and its historical significance from the perspective of the viewer. As the subject of examination, on which the thoughts and findings will be demonstrated, is chosen the important English King- Henry VIII., who has been depicted in many movies and about whom there were written many books as well. Primarily the bachelor work focus on the historical accuracy of the movies and books, the comparison of the importance of both the media (what information value both media provide). The bachelor thesis also aims on the general perception of movies and whether the examined work are quality and accurate source of information. In conclusion, there will be the comparison of the information value of these two selected media.
The role of the media as an information source for parents on maternity and parental leave

The diploma thesis focuses on the role of the media in the lives of parents on maternity and parental leave and how they satisfy their needs through use of media. The thesis is based on the uses and gratification theory and especially on the typology of media-personal interactions defined by Denis McQuail. The aim of the thesis is to find out, through twenty interviews with mothers and fathers living in the household with a child or children, for what purpose the media are used by this specific group. The thesis includes a theoretical anchoring of the approach of uses and gratification theory concerning its historical development during the 20th century, but it also focuses on its concept at present after the spread of new media. The theoretical part of the thesis also deals with the characteristics of maternity and parental leave and it tries to identify everyday activities associated with this period and its positive and negative aspects. The methodological part describes the area of qualitative research and related procedures, including the choice of data collection method, which is a semi-structured interview, and the characteristics of the research sample. Information Sources for Theatrical Form of Dance

The bachelor thesis describes selected information sources for a theatrical form of dance. The thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and practic. Theoretical part explains the terms related to the information sources and theatrical form of dance and describes historical development of the information sources. The aim of the thesis is to describe and compare information sources for a theatrical form of dance. The thesis makes differences between the information sources for general public and those for professional dancers. Practical part of thesis compares information sources based on their content. The analysis of information sources and technologies in the zoological garden

This bachelor's thesis is focused on the ways of informing visitors, used information sources and technologies at the Prague Zoo. The thesis is divided into six chapters. The first chapter is devoted to the introduction. The second chapter explains terms associated with informing. The third chapter introduces organization the Prague Zoo. The fourth chapter describes specific information sources and technologies at the Prague Zoo. The fifth chapter contains an analysis of data obtained from survey of zoo visitors. In the sixth chapter is the conclusion. Objective of this thesis is to present the ways of infoming visitors of the Prague Zoo that are supported by the use of various information sources. Moreover the aim is to analyze the preferences and opinions of zoo visitors in terms of use information sources and technologies in survey.
Analysis of Information for Business Valuation

The topic of the final thesis is the evaluation of publicly available electronic information and information from paid sources of information. The evaluation of information sources is focused on obtaining data for financial analysis that is performed in the process of business valuation. The thesis is divided into two main parts -- The theoretical one and the practical one. The first three chapters pay particular attention to the thesis that is dedicated to the valuation process, legislation and subjects that can make the valuation. The practical part contains two methodologies that are based on decision analysis. Each method consists of testing criteria. To apply the methodology three travel agencies and three paid information sources were chosen.
The mental maps and thein utilization in the tourism

This diploma work takes and describes for the main objective the evolution and the formation of mental maps. These mental maps join with the idea of a travelling and with a travel tourism. The partial objective is the project for an exploitation of these knowledges for the travel tourism. This research is specialized in the basic school students where is the evolution the most descriptive. The evolution of the mental maps is assumed by students of secondary schools and by older informants. The evolution of these mental maps confirms the anylysis of questionnaires.
